Russell G. Gervase (Gervase)

Tim Gill was a gentle giant and good friend. He would come around after school and during the summer sometimes 'cause there was always something going on at our house. My younger brothers and sisters enjoyed his company. He never minded my Dad calling him Herman. (Dad couldn't keep track of all the kids names)
After graduation, Tim continued to work at Bob's Big Boy for the summer. He moved down to the Langley Park area where he rented a room from a Greek family. I would croos paths with Tim throughout that summer of 79 and into the fall. For a brief period of time he went to live on a commune. It didn't last long...all they had to eat was peanut butter. By late fall '79 Tim joined the Navy. He visited us after his basic training. The next time I saw him, he had married Marjie. I'm hoping she'll fill in from here. He left behind his wife, Marjie and three children(adults now) who would love to hear stories about their father, Tim. Rest peacefully my friend.

Tim and I sang in the choir and madrigal group at Springbrook. "Gentle giant" is a good description. He was always kind and had a great smile. I'm sorry to hear he's no longer with us.
