Nina L. Adler, compliance officer, Office of Enforcement, Division of Compliance Policy, ORA, passed away Nov. 20, 2006, following surgery at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.
Joyce Torchinsky explained to me that a rare form of Uterine Cancer was discovered in Nina. Appearently, this form of cancer shows no symptoms (i.e. it hits no nerve endings), so Nina had no clue.
I understand she died a few weeks after its discovery.
Joyce can explain it a lot better for sure.
Nina was such a sweet and pretty girl. She'll be missed.
As a dear friend of Nina's and funeral director, I had the sad honor and privilege of caring for her when she died. Her funeral was a wonderful tribute to her. She was very much loved. Should any of you wish further details, please feel free to contact me.

I, too, am greatly saddened upon hearing of this. I fondly remember her smile in the hallways of SHS.Michelle (Averbach) Averbach (Murphy Jopp)
I am just experiencing tonight, those that will not be with us in Oct. I was in homeroom with Nina, for many years. I am very saddened by this news.Paul Spence (Spence)
I worked with Nina at the Irish Inn in White Oak durring our Senior year. She was a beautiful woman and was always nice. Very Sad.
